What If There's More Behind Why You're Tired?

I had a QHHT session recently with a client who came in with a question that I think a LOT of people can relate to: Why am I so tired?

Not just “I didn't sleep well last night” tired.

This was more of an ongoing, “Why do I feel like I could just stay home and do nothing?” kind of tired.

The client knew they had a lot going on in their life. There were plenty of obvious reasons they could have been feeling worn out. They also thought there were medical reasons why — but they also wanted to understand if there was something deeper happening.

So, as we moved through the session, I asked their Higher Self about it.

And the answer was not what either of us expected.

The message that came through was that the client's tiredness was actually serving a purpose, given to them by the Higher Self. (In retrospect, I should have known – this is often the reason behind dis-ease: The Higher Self)

There were people, activities, and situations that the client had been spending a lot of time around that were no longer part of the path they were moving toward. But those things weren't going to just disappear.

So instead, the client's Higher Self was essentially creating a reason for them to stay home.

The client would become tired in the evenings.

Too tired to go out.

Too tired to participate.

Too tired to keep giving their energy to things that were no longer aligned with where they were going.

Now, I want to be very clear here: I'm not suggesting that every time you're tired, your Higher Self is keeping you home. There can be very real physical reasons for fatigue, and those deserve attention. If you're experiencing ongoing or unusual fatigue, that's something to discuss with your doctor.

But what got me about this particular session was the perspective. What if there was another layer to what this person was experiencing?

We Usually Look for the Most Obvious Explanation

When something happens in our lives, we naturally want to know why.

We're tired, so we look at sleep.

We're stressed, so we look at everything that's currently on our plate.

We're unhappy, so we look at what's wrong. Etc...

And sometimes those answers are exactly right.

But sometimes there's something underneath them.

• Maybe we're exhausted because we're continually giving our energy to people who no longer belong in our lives.

• Maybe we're overwhelmed because we're trying to maintain a version of our life that we've already outgrown.

• Maybe we're constantly busy because slowing down would force us to acknowledge something we'd rather avoid.

• Or maybe we're being nudged toward something completely different, but we haven't recognized the nudge yet.

That's where I think QHHT can get to the root of the "problem."

We're not asking, “What's wrong with me?” We're asking: “What is this experience trying to show me?”

Your Path Doesn't Always Change Overnight

Sometimes it happens gradually.

You stop wanting to go somewhere you used to enjoy. You lose interest in something that once mattered to you. A relationship starts feeling different. You suddenly feel drawn toward something new, Work is boring, etc..

And at first, you may think something is wrong.

But what if you're just changing?

What if the version of your life that once fit you isn't the version you're meant to continue living?

Sometimes it's just an invitation to become more aware of where your energy is going and how you actually feel when you're there.

What Is This Experience Trying to Show You?

What stayed with me from this session wasn't simply the idea that the client's fatigue had a purpose. It was the reminder that we don't always have the full picture.

And this is something I see in my tarot readings all the time, too.

A pattern keeps showing up. The same type of situation. The same relationship dynamic. The same frustration. The same question coming up again and again.

Eventually, I ask the client:

“What is this experience trying to teach you?”

Because ultimately, the question isn't “Why is this happening to me?”

The question is: “Why is this happening for me?”

That doesn't mean everything that happens is easy, enjoyable, or something we consciously chose. And it certainly doesn't mean we shouldn't take action when something isn't working.

But changing the question...can change the perspective.

That's one of the reasons I love QHHT — and why I love Tarot, too.

Sometimes you walk in looking for an answer to one question and discover that there's a much bigger question underneath it.

And sometimes the answer isn't: “Here's what's wrong.”

Sometimes it's: “Here's what this is helping you move toward.”

And I think that's a pretty powerful thing to consider.

QHHT is a spiritual and exploratory experience and is not a substitute for medical or mental-health care. The experiences and perspectives described in this article are from an individual session and are not intended to suggest that fatigue or other physical symptoms have a spiritual cause.
